BRITTANY'S BEEF STEW
This is my neice Brittany. Isn't she beautiful?!
She lives in Oregon and sent me this recipe today. What else was I gonna call it but, Brittany's Beef Stew.
I think it sounds "simply delicious", which is one of the best kind of recipe.
Not too much effort, but you end up with a delicious comforting meal, and who doesn't like comfort food. It will soon be that time again,,, come to think about it, why wait?
This cooks on the stove top so your kitchen won't feel like a furnace.
Yep, I will be making it very soon. I'll let you know how much I enjoyed it and post some pictures too!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1-2 lbs of stew meat
- 5 carrots peeled and chopped into 1 inch pieces
- 5 med. Potatoes washed and chopped into 1 inch pieces
- 1.5 pkg. of Pacific Foods 32 oz Beef Broth
- 2 tbsp of flour
- 1/2 c of milk
- 1/2 tsp of pepper
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
Directions:
Pour 2 tbsp of olive oil in skillet. Brown the stew meat very well. Place cooked meat in a large pot. Pour in 1 32oz container of Beef Broth.
Allow meat to simmer in broth for 3 hours; then pour in an additional 8-16oz container of beef broth and add carrots. Simmer 30 minutes.
In a container that you can seal & shake (jar) put in garlic powder, pepper, flour, & milk. Shake thoroughly.
Add potatoes & milk mixture into stew & allow simmering another 30 minutes.
Now it’s done. Serve alone or with rolls.
