AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RICE

This recipe was given to my sister from friend that moved here from Mexico. It is simple to prepare and full of flavor.
INGREDIENTS: - 1 tbsp oil
- 2 cups rice
- 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 6 oz can tomato paste
- 2 tsp tomato bouillon
- 1 small onion or 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 4 cups chicken broth
Saute onions in oil until softened; add rice and brown, stirring occasionally. Add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes more. Stir paste into broth and add to rice with remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook 20 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Serve along side
